SPRING CONCERT - MAY 18

Dear Parents:

Tuesday night, May 18, is the choirs’ Spring Concert.  It promises to be a great night of wonderful music that I know you will enjoy!

Below is the time that your child will need to be in the choir room at the middle school.  Everyone MUST BE ON TIME!  Their final exam grade will reflect their prompt attendance.

6:10 – all high school women

6:25 – 6th grade girls’ choir and middle school girls’ choir

6:30 – all men (6th grade boys, middle school boys, high school men)

Make sure that your singer is in his/her required (pressed, if necessary) uniform.  All middle school and high school uniforms/shoes must be returned no later than Friday, May 21st. Remember that they are to be returned DIRTY in the same bags, on the same hangers, and in the same shoe boxes in which they were issued.  Their final exam grade will reflect this return policy.

Just as a reminder:

Below you will find the concert attendance policy that is a requirement of all singers.

“Because your child is enrolled in a performing organization, please know that he or she will be expected to be in attendance for several performances during this school year. Most of these performances are held in the evenings in the PAC (Performing Art Center). It is vitally important to have every choir member singing in programs/concerts because the success of the performance is determined by each choir member's presence and their ability to work together as a team.  It would be unfair to the choir if any member chose not to be present and giving their best for a performance. Therefore, attendance at performances is not optional. Attendance at the spring concert will determine each student's final exam grade for the course.  The only excused absence from a concert/program is sickness, and only then if I hear directly from a parent before the concert. Just call 836-1695 and leave a message.”

Please call me if you have any questions  - 836-4611.

Thank you,

Susan Thrift
